Rushes Post New Anti-Drink Drive Campaign

Rushes has posted on a recent new £3 million anti-drink drive campaign, directed by HLA director John Hardwick.
The new initiative focuses on the social consequences of being caught drink driving, rather than previous shocking images of crashes.
Rushes’ Simone Grattarola said: “I have worked with John on many projects and he always brings a subversive take on reality. Here we see a bartender 'transform' into the various people affected by the would-be driver having his next drink. This was achieved all in one take.
"What John and I worked on was helping present each character the actor plays in a slightly different way. Using slight variants in skin tones and constantly darkening the background we achieved a look that heightened the overall intensity of the performance. I used many dynamics in the grade. I used techniques to manipulate the size of the frame, the background intensity, the skin tones all on separate layers so they could change independently, befitting the action of the actor.”
