Evolutions Gets Its Teeth Into 'Ocean of Fear'

Evolutions is close to finishing the online edit for 'Ocean of Fear', the opening programme in this year's Shark Week series For Discovery US. The programme has been produced by writer & director Richard Bedser for Brook Lapping Productions and airs on Sunday 29 July at 9pm (EST) across America. A UK transmission date will be confirmed soon.
The programme is a drama-documentary about the USS Indianapolis cruiser, which carried parts for the Hiroshima bomb and was torpedoed in the summer of 1945, killing or stranding her 1200-man crew. A gruesome fate for many of the crew, 'Ocean of Fear' explores how the surviving crew members endured four days and five nights in shark infested water.
Evolutions editor Fred Baillod was given the task of completing the online edit on the Avid Symphony Nitris, with Nick Adams creating the grading on Baselight. The entire footage for the programme was shot on HDCAM. Graham Kirkman then produced the dub in Evolutions Dolby 5.1 surround sound dubbing theatre.
