Golden Square On A Roll With Andrex

Golden Square and Patricia Murphy Films have collaborated to produce an inspired piece of emotional storytelling for Andrex.
Similar to a short film, ‘Car’ takes us into the charming world of a mischievous little girl and cheeky puppy that conspire to tie the end of their Andrex loo roll to a lamp post and to watch as it rapidly unravels.
Filmed in Palma on 35 and 10mm, Patricia Murphy takes us from the intimate cinematic feel of the family-shopping scene to the textured epic landscapes of the car’s journey home.
Golden Square’s 3D artists Charlie Lovett and Mike Little worked closely with Patricia to create the beautifully stylised formations that the CG toilet roll created enhancing the visual gag of the family car unknowingly trailing the toilet roll.
Flame artist Fasa Oyibo integrated the CG into the various settings and added moving backgrounds and reflections into shots that had to be composited. Compositing and colour correction techniques were also used to enhance the locations with a car driving along a dirt track, for example, being transformed in flame into a desert scene.
