What's On At Broadcast Live 2007

For the second year running, Broadcast LIVE returns to Earls Court 2 from 19th – 21st June 2007.
This key three-day exhibition and conference programme is integral to any successful and expanding business within the broadcast industry, covering all aspects of the content chain through Create, Manage and Deliver. As shown at its launch last year the event provides an invaluable business and networking environment designed to embrace the future of multi-platform broadcasting, introducing and familiarising the broadcasting community to new advancements within the industry.
With the future of broadcast as one of its main concerns, there are a number of new items at Broadcast LIVE this year. As competition for the ‘fourth screen’ intensifies, special pod zones dedicated to both IPTV and Mobile technologies will feature at this year’s show. This includes companies whose technology is situated right at the cutting edge of these new platforms such as Vividas and C3, with more exhibitors to be announced shortly.
Also new for 2007 is the Outside Broadcast area, which will be located at the back of the hall. New company Cammotion will be launching and holding their first public viewing of their Vortex Aerial Camera Mount System at the centre of this OB area, “The Vortex aerial camera mount system is the first of its kind designed for full size broadcast and film cameras. It lifts a camera from ground level to a height of 30 metres in 15 seconds.”
For 2007 there will be new feature areas with an increase in content and exhibiting all stages of production from tapeless workflow, to HD, from asset management to podcasting. The conference programme has also changed with each speaker session lasting 1½ hours, so visitors gain an increased wealth of information. The rostrum of speakers for Broadcast LIVE this year is truly impressive with influential figures such as:
  • Patrick Walker – Head of Content Partnerships at Google
  • Lisa Opie – MD of Content for 5TV
  • Mary Turner – CEO of Tiscali
  • Annelies van den Belt – MD for Broadband at ITV
Charlotte Bowskill, Event Manager for the show at EMAP Media, comments: “Broadcast LIVE is the only UK based event to cover the entire content chain – from conception to delivery. We had a fantastic launch in 2006 and this has been reflected through our figures this year, with 80% stand space already booked-up and 5,000 pre-registered visitors. With the winning formula of leading industry exhibitors with a dedicated conference programme, and the introduction of new, ground-breaking exhibitors such as the ipods, we only expect figures to increase.”
New exhibitors for 2007 include; EVS, Ianiro, Clear Cut, Sennheiser, Holdan, Signiant and Albany Creative, with regular influential businesses such as Avid Technology, Sony Broadcast and Omnibus also confirmed.
