Reel Logix Releases Version 4.0 Of Reel Production Calendar

Reel Logix Inc. has announced the release of Version 4.0 of The Reel Production Calendar, the only calendar software designed for Film, Television and Entertainment Productions; just one month after the company celebrated its four year anniversary in August.
This latest offering represents another step in the company's roadmap of planned releases from now through 2007. This new release includes many new features such as the ability to link events and notes in the calendar to files on the user's computer for quick access, the ability to publish files or URLS in web calendars, new high level schedule representations and many additional features and enhancements including the ability to import and export XML.
"Many software products in this industry do not provide access to the data in any way that can be easily re-used, causing data to be redundantly entered in multiple locations and systems. We chose XML import and export as a solution because it is a convenient way of exchanging information and can work with the diverse range of data solutions our customers use. We recently used it successfully to integrate the software with a studio's backend data solution and it has proven to be a very effective solution for them," said CTO, Philip Robinson.
Additional releases are scheduled between December 2006 and February 2007 and will contain features that extend The Reel Production Calendar's ability to communicate with other applications. In addition, new and innovative approaches to enhancing capabilities and increasing productivity on set will continue to keep The Reel Production Calendar on the cutting edge of productivity software for the entertainment industry.
Reel Logix, Inc is continuing their practice of offering free upgrades to existing clients.
