VPoint.TV Awarded At Royal Television Society Midland Centre Awards
VPoint.TV were awarded the ‘Best Corporate/ Non-Broadcast Programme’ at the prestigious Royal Television Society Midland Centre Awards.
The event, hosted by GMTV’s Ben Shephard took place on the October 15 at the Hyatt Hotel in Birmingham and was held to ‘recognise production excellence and creativity’ in both broadcast and non-broadcast programming.
The Royal Television Society regional awards honour the very best in programmes that have been produced by a Midlands based company.
The winning production was a double DVD for the Arts Council England, East Midlands, called ‘Transforming Lives with the Arts’ and ‘Transforming Communities with the Arts’.
Other nominees for this award included previous RTS and Bafta winning production companies.
Founder of VPoint.TV, Ian Sterling, commented: "It’s great to get recognition for all of the hard work and skill our team puts into every film we make and we’re very proud to have received this award."
Laura Dyer, Executive Director of Arts Council England, East Midlands, commented: "We’re absolutely delighted that VPoint.TV has received this award for the DVDs they made for us.
"Their creative approach in the project has resulted in two fantastic advocacy dvds which we are able to show to a huge variety of audiences illustrating the impact of National Lottery funding on the arts."
The RTS Midlands Centre covers Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands and Worcestershire.
