London International Animation Festival kickstarts August 22

The annual London International Animation Festival (LIAF) swings into motion on August 22 and climaxes with the ‘best of the festival’ programme on August 27.
LIAF aims to be bigger and better than ever before - more than 200 short films from 25 countries will be screened over six days at the Curzon Soho. This is one of the UK's largest animation festival in terms of the sheer amount of films that are screened.
As well as the best recently released British and international films over seven competitive sessions, there are programmes devoted to: digital animation, abstract animation, animated documentaries, kids animation, a student panorama, retrospectives on Frederic Back, Korean animation, a studio focus on Nukufilm from Estonia, and a masterclass from visiting Canadian animator Marie-Josee Saint-Pierre.
For full programme information please visit look at the London International Animation Festival website - www.liaf.org.uk
