Positive experiences inspire broadcaster Vmma to buy a second SSL C100

Solid State Logic’s C100 digital production console has proved such a success for Belgium broadcaster Vmma (Vlaamse Media Maatschappij) that the company has now bought a second just one year after installing its first.
The second 40+8 fader C100 console will be located in Vmma’s News studio, which is currently being completely refurbished. It will be equipped with 96 analogue and 192 digital i/o's with full dsp, along with 24 mic inputs.
Vmma is Belgium’s largest commercial broadcaster for the country’s Flemish speaking population. Formerly operating under the name of VTM, it now broadcasts three cable television channels and also operates a national radio station from its headquarters in Brussels.
Chris Wolters, Unit Manager – Radio, said investing in a second C100 was an easy decision to make, given the very positive experiences the broadcaster has had with its first desk.
“Our C100 is in daily operation in our Production control room, which is shared by two television studios,” he explained. “Over the past year it has fully proven its quality and reliablility. The flexibility, ease of operation, reliability and uncluttered logical desk layout has made it a big success with our engineers. We found the learning curve amazingly easy, even for first time operators.”
