AWARD FOR TOP REGIONAL CAMERAMAN

VINNY Cunningham, who films the hugely popular Ulster Television (UTV) series ‘Lesser Spotted Ulster’ has been given an accolade by his peers.
He has been awarded a Certificate of Merit for his work on the programme by the Guild of Television Cameramen.
Vinny said: “It’s really gratifying to be shooting a successful television series and it’s always nice to win awards of course, but when you’re given an award by other camermen working in the industry, well that’s a kind of recognition that’s deeply satisfying.”
The awards by the Guild are given to either a crew or an individual in recognition of outstanding camerawork.
Alan Bremner, Head of Programming at UTV said: “The award is richly deserved and it’s nice to see recognition being given to a real team-worker. Vinny’s camerawork has always been one of the most appealing aspects of this programme, which is our most popular factual television series ever. The record speaks for itself.”
Vinny Cunningham will be presented with his award at the Annual Awards ceremony of the Guild of Television Cameramen on October 7.
