BBC One To Produce 'Great British Summer'
Multi-award winning UK indie Lion Television has been commissioned by BBC One to produce 'Great British Summer', a lavish 4x60mins documentary series narrated by the nation’s favourite gardener, Alan Titchmarsh.
From the delights of baking hot days on the beach to the stoic acceptance of a washed out Wimbledon, 'Great British Summer' will explore the life of this most anticipated season and discover why it is so special to the British public.
Jeremy Mills, Managing Director, Lion Television says: “The 'Great British Summer' is the kind of high production value and skilfully made documentary programming that Lion enjoys making. Alan Titchmarsh is a national treasure, and his incomparable style and extensive knowledge of the UK’s landscapes and climate make him the perfect person to bring this season to life.
