NEW WELSH-ENGLISH BILINGUAL SERVICE

ABERYSTWYTH-born, David Lepla-Lewis, has set up a new company aimed at providing a range of Welsh-English translation services for the media.
He is determined to bring his language skills back on track and tap into a market which he feels has been seriously neglected by the media industry.
With more than 10-years hands-on experience working in the fast-paced sectors of film and television, the man at the helm of new Cardiff-based company, Medrel, already boasts a database of more than 1,000 qualified personnel throughout Wales.
Lepla-Lewis said: “Whilst working in the media I identified a need for a comprehensive resource management company.
“In addition to providing the broadcast media with technical support, Medrel also offers comprehensive media training taught by the leading industry lights and political trainers.
“The media is in constant need of high quality staff, whether that be production managers, technicians or bilingual secretaries.”
Based at Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff, the company has been assisted with business planning, funding and promotion by Venture Start, a unique, high-level package of customised guidance for potential high-growth business.
