The Australian Caption Centre Wins Subtitling Contract

The Australian Caption Centre (ACC), a subsidiary of Red Bee Media, has won a five year contract to provide subtitling (captioning) services to The Seven Network, one of Australia’s major broadcasters.
The service is expected to begin this summer. Initially 4,600 hours of programming will be subtitled per annum, increasing to over 6,000 hours per annum by 2010.
“We are delighted to be providing captioning services to The Seven Network. ACC has a heritage of delivering subtitles to the Australian market, and coupled with the innovation it has gained under Red Bee Media we will be able to deliver a first class service to Seven,” said Robert Scott, CEO at the ACC.
ACC, which bought Red Bee Media in February this year, is one of the largest subtitling companies in the world, providing access services for the major Australian television broadcasters; major advertisers and their agencies; video and DVD distributors; subscription television channels; and conferences in Australia and overseas.
With offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth the company provides access services to clients in Australia, North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.

Red Bee Media bought ACC as part of the company’s expansion into Australasia.
