POST IMPRESSIONS IBC PRODUCT RELEASES

POST Impressions, manufacturers of industry workstation solutions and software applications, have announced its new product line-up for IBC 2000.
The launch includes: SpiRINT Workstation, an NT-based workstation with random-access HD I/O designed by Post Impressions specifically for DTV, HDTV and film applications. SpiRINT was still in development at IBC-time last year, but the first production machines were shipped during June 2000 following interest from facilities around the world.
The second product, the piCCASO Colour Corrector is the result of a joint development with Pandora International, the leading provider of colour correction technology. It is a complete, real-time disk-based colour correction system designed for DTV, HDTV and film applications. piCCASO allows the grading process to be de-coupled from the telecine, enabling one telecine to service multiple grading suites. piCCASO also provides a non-linear solution for facilities wishing to grade HD material.
Also on display will be Tremor on SpiRINT, which combines the high performance SpiRINT Workstation with Nothing Real’s TREMOR to deliver powerful HD effects and compositing, optimised for HDTV. The software is resolution-independent allowing SDTV, HDTV and film-resolution images to be mixed.
Post Impressions will also be showing new enhanced versions of their SpiDDR and con4mer workstations.
SpiDDR provides a 625/525 storage solution designed to bring powerful, non-linear functionality to the machine room. Using EDLs to load and prepare material from tape, SpiDDR saves valuable time for the facility.
The latest SpiDDR software release includes Mac and NT remote control panels.
