THE Production Guild of Great Britain have announced that FT2 (Film and Freelance Training) Director David Martin will be their first Chief Executive.
Michael O’Sullivan, President of the Guild and a Senior Vice President of Paramount Pictures, said: “We are extremely pleased to have secured David. He has the energy, skills and drive to ensure that the Guild moves forward and is established as the authoritative industry voice on the issues facing our members in today’s production environment.”
Martin, who has headed FT2 for the past six years, is widely recognised as being the driving force behind FT2’s status and reputation as a leading UK industry training provider. Commenting on his new role, he said: “I will be working with the members of the Guild to represent our interests and to influence the policies of Government, the Film Council and the European Union.”
