AUDIO AND DESIGN SUPPLY DMM1 TO LNN FACILITY

AUDIO and Design, UK manufacturers of high-end digital audio products, have supplied fourteen of their DMM1 digital audio mixers to London News Network (LNN), the transmission facility for ITV.
Tom Haye, a director of Broadcast Networks, the company handling the installation, said: “The DMM1s were chosen for their professional quality and because they offer a wide range of digital audio control features. We are currently building the second phase of the LNN/ITV project, which involves revamping many of their existing facilities and installing a number of filing suites which will be used to upload commercials and programming onto video servers. Audio and Design’s DMM1 mixers were both the right choice and the right price because they offer very good value for money and are capable of everything we need.”
Audio and Design’s DMM1 provides 12 dB of digital gain, phase reverse and stereo fader mode for each input, in addition to two built in sample rate converters. Other features include a unique DAT ID bypass mode, MS encode/decode facilities, assignable 4-channel auxiliary output and up to nine seconds of digital delay on each channel.
The order will be installed into the main LNN/ITV transmission system operated from London’s South Bank.
