VINTEN SUPPORTS STEADY OLYMPIC COVERAGE

VINTEN have provided 300 camera support systems for use during the Olympic Games 2000.
Vinten say that their camera support systems are being used at a wide range of venues from the Olympic Stadium, to the Sydney Superdome, and the Olympic Rifle Range.
Vinten Broadcast Managing Director Simon Derry said: “The company is pleased that after looking at many options, Panasonic, once again chose Vinten, just as they had in the Nagano’98 and Atlanta’96 Olympics. Using Vinten camera support systems, broadcasters from around the world can be assured of providing programming quality at its best, with advanced technology. The Sydney Games continues Vinten’s presence at worldwide major events providing the ultimate in camera support systems, where reliability, smooth camera movement and performance are key factors.”
Vinten have also supplied Vision 250M Systems, featuring TF (Thin Film) drag, whip pan and balance capabilities.
Ensuring complete back-up and support at the Olympic Stadium, Sydney Superdome and other venues, Vinten are maintaining an on-site team throughout the Games in the Olympic Transit Buildings.
