DGA SIZES UP TAPE WITH EYE TO MERGER
IN A deal that is expected to lead to a full merger, David Graham Associates (DGA), providers of audience information, analysis and consultancy services to the UK broadcasting industry, have announced the acquisition of a 37 per cent stake in Television Audience Programme Evaluation Ltd (TAPE).
DGA CEO David Graham said: “The two companies are extremely complementary. DGA clientele are mainly UK-based, while TAPE has a global client base. We’re looking forward to a new era.”
TAPE provides a range of services to the television and feature film industries, covering all aspects of programming and content. TAPE’s services are based on a long-term and continuing study of audiences, aimed at determining the elements which influence their viewing decision, as well as monitoring, and reporting, on international viewing trends.
Director of TAPE Jeff Cottis said: “The time is right, as is the synergy, and we’re looking forward to exploring all the new possibilities that lie ahead.”
