C2-7200 set to ship from TV One

Built expressly to address the evolving needs of the broadcast market, TV One's new dual-channel C2-7200 multi-format processor supports virtually every Analogue-to-HDTV conversion imaginable, all within a compact 1 RU enclosure.
Beyond its versatile capabilities in converting between analogue and HD-SDI, the C2-7200 additionally houses the power of many other components ranging from a high-definition video scaler and multi-format seamless switcher to a twin-window picture-in-picture device, chroma/luma keyer, aspect ratio converter, logo inserter, and much more. Serving as the central force behind this level of functionality are two completely independent scaling engines and two video mixers all utilising TV One's proprietary CORIO2 technology.
Outfitted with true 4:4:4 processing providing full-bandwidth color and precise keying (including soft keys), the device has eleven inputs accommodating multiple HD-SDI, SD-SDI, DVI, YPbPr, RGBHV, RGBS, RGsB, YCbCr, Composite, and S-Video signals, as well as all HDTV formats and any PC resolution up to 2048x2048, not just some pre-defined ones. A pair of independent output channels each offer SDI (SD or HD), DVI-I, any RGB format, and CV and SV. Armed with the ability to alter the aspect ratio of any input, the unit also allows different SDTV and HDTV images to be intermixed in any operating mode.
The secret behind the flexibility of TV One's CORIO2 circuitry is rooted in a dynamically reprogrammable conversion engine that transcends the fixed capabilities of third-party chip sets commonly used as the central building blocks in traditional video processors.
"With its CORIO2 technology, the C2-7200 exceeds the power of any other multi-format video processor on the market," said TV One President David Barnes. "Perhaps you could compare its capabilities to some $50,000 products, but even those come up short of what this device can do for significantly less. There really is no other single product out there like this, at any price."
Built for broadcast applications but equally at home at large or small venue staged events and multimedia presentations, the C2-7200 will begin shipping in January, 2006. User-friendly with 10 fully-programmable front panel buttons and a dedicated shift button used to control input selection and presets, the device can be remotely controlled via an RS-232 or IP interface. A Windows control panel is included and the optional CC-300 Hardware Control Panel provides the look and feel of a production switcher. Like all other CORIO2-based products, firmware updates can be downloaded for the C2-7200 from TV One's website.
