Weta Digital choose Nucoda Colour Timer for ‘King Kong’
Digital Vision, one of the leading developers of advanced digital media applications specialising in film and video solutions, has announced that Academy Award winning visual effects company, Weta Digital is using Nucoda Colour Timer for Universal Pictures' ‘King Kong’.
Directed and produced by Peter Jackson (‘The Lord of the Rings Trilogy’), and starring Naomi Watts (‘The Ring Two’, ‘21 Grams’) and Jack Black (‘Shark Tale’, ‘The School of Rock’), this epic remake of the original 1933 movie written by Merian C. Cooper and Edgar Wallace is due for release on 14 December this year.
Nucoda Colour Timer was selected by Weta Digital for its ability to seamlessly integrate into the DI workflow.
Weta Digital CTO Milton Ngan said: "King Kong has a very complex DI workflow so we needed a product that would easily adapt to fit our needs. Digital Vision's support team were extremely flexible and worked alongside our technical people to achieve this."
