Ireland’s first IPTV provider chooses Optibase

Optibase, a leading provider of advanced digital video solutions, has announced that Ireland’s first IPTV service provider, Magnet Networks, has chosen to further extend its IP video head-end with Optibase’s IPTV encoding and streaming platforms.
This latest order, placed for Magnet Networks, by leading broadband solutions provider and systems integrator Industria, the main contractor on the project, is the third arising from the rollout.
“Optibase has proven itself as an excellent partner, providing first-class technical solutions and a high level of support, making it easy to integrate with the other components of the IPTV solution provided by Industria,” said Industria CEO, Gudjon Mar Gudjonsson.
Ingvar Gardarsson, CEO of Magnet Networks, said: “Since our initial deployment, Optibase’s video head-end platforms have produced high video quality and a very high level of stability. These are crucial factors for us when operating in this highly competitive market.”
Uzi Breier, Optibase’s CEO, said: “We are extremely pleased to take part in what is to be Europe’s most sophisticated broadband network.
“We constantly strive to provide high quality innovative solutions and the very highest service level.”
