DNA PASSES FILM COUNCIL REVIEW

THE Film Council have announced after a period of review they have agreed the continuation of DNA’s film franchise, and have been awarded £29m by the Arts Council of England for a further six years.
To date, DNA have produced four British Films under the Lottery franchise: Bill Eagles ‘Beautiful Creatures; Peter Capaldi’s ‘Strictly Sinatra’; Patrick Harkins ‘The Final Curtain’ and ‘The Parole Officer’.
Upcoming DNA titles include ‘The Film-maker’, ‘Back to School’ and ‘Blue Dot Seventeen’.
The mid-term review in which all aspects of the three film franchise companies operations are examined was part of the agreement under which The Film Consortium, Pathe and DNA received their franchise contracts from the Arts Council of England. DNA’s was the last of the three reviews to be completed.
