EXTREME AND OXYGEN WORK ON REALITY TV FORMATS

NORTHERN Ireland based TV company, Extreme Productions, and Dublin web portal Oxygen, have announced their intention to work together on a variety of Reality TV formats.
Oxygen currently produces ‘No 54’, a web reality soap featuring the lives, loves and disappointments of five university students. The apartment is covered by eight webcams that follow the students every move, and the action is broadcast live over the internet.
Extreme Managing Director, David Malone, said: “As TV and the internet become ever closer, it makes sense for TV companies and New Media businesses to combine their skills. Extreme and Oxygen are committed to creating new formats that work equally well on both TV and the web.”
The Extreme and Oxygen alliance have created a number of original formats, which are currently under negotiation with broadcasters in Britain and Ireland.
