Teko Telecom unveils range of amplifiers for dual mode operation

Teko Telecom has designed a range of VHF and UHF power amplifiers suitable for both DVB-T/H and analogue TV dual mode operation.
The M3 (VHF) and MU (UHF) series amplifiers ensure the maximum flexibility for use in the widest range of radio coverage needs and can be associated with Teko Telecom transmitters, translators and gap fillers.
Main features of this range of products are modularity and compactness that, along with their intrinsic high-level reliability, allow the system proper operation even in critical situations.
The equipment efficiency grants a good energy saving with reduced maintenance cost and less heat in the installation building.
These amplifiers meet the most severe demands of operators which could appreciate their radio-electric features as well as their complete and efficient remote control.
VHF TETRAFET and UHF LD-MOS technologies in AB class, ensure excellent radio-frequency performances and high levels of efficiency, making this equipment the ideal solution for a good DVB-T and DVB-H coverage.
A double detection control of the output power makes the operation possible both in ATV and DVB-T/H. The switch between these two modes as well as the selection of operating frequency and output power can be carried out both locally and from remote.
The Automatic Gain Control keep the output power constant and protects the amplifier module in case of reduced return loss, excessive input power and high temperature. The logic control restores the operating conditions when the fault stops.
The amplifiers are air-cooled with a redundant fan control system which automatically adjusts air-flow speed to suite the optimal temperature operating conditions.
Fans always run at the best speed to optimise their lifetime, reliability, thermal stability and noise.
The fans automatic control allows to identify possible failures and to manage the failure signal, locally and from remote. To ensure the service continuity, the remaining fan compensates the loss of the other one operating at the maximum rotation speed.
The equipment has been designed with great attention to assistance and maintenance requirements. All electrical, electronic and mechanical parts have been designed with the aim to ease maintenance. The amplifiers can be quickly reconfigured reducing their maintenance to minimum and optimising the spares management.
An optional integrated micro server is available to connect the amplifier from its Ethernet port into a TCP/IP network, operating also as Web Server (data and parameters are displayed and managed from Web page) and SNMP agent.
