PRO-BEL RELEASE NEW AURORA SOFTWARE

PRO-BEL have introduced advanced new editor software for their Aurora Router Control System.
The user-friendly Windows™ style editor allows complete management and set up of the control system in a ‘tree style’ format. The database is edited via ‘pop up’ forms and drag and drop capabilities.
Aurora’s Product Manager, Bryan Arbon, said: “With outstanding features like auto sequence, which is used to generate key entry sequences automatically, and the ability to cut-and-paste from a number of programmes including spreadsheets, Aurora will save operators a huge amount of time”.
Aurora can control over 500,000 sources and destinations from 20 independent routing switchers, each with 16 levels of 2048x2048. The main frames available in four variants, with options for back-up processors and redundant power supplies. The base system offers single matrix control that can be field upgraded to provide full multi-matrix operation with multistage tie lines, enabling it to grow in harmony with client’s operations.
In addition to a wide range of push-button and LCD control panels, Aurora also offers arrange of software based virtual panels for use with Windows NT, Apple Mac, Unix and SGI workstations. Panels can be created, either on or off-line using standard buttons and bitmaps for a more graphical approach to PC-based router control. (CMcL)
