DATE SET FOR THE IOV2001 CONVENTION

THE INSTITUTE of Videography's Annual Convention and Trade Exhibition showcasing the latest technology and services in digital video production will take place at the National Motorcycle Museum on May 2 and 3, 2001.
Situated opposite the UK's National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, IOV2001 will include a full schedule of seminars and workshops aimed to address the wide-ranging needs of today's video production community, from web streaming video, through to panel discussions on all key business topics.
The trade exhibition will be spread throughout the museum's three main exhibition halls, and will include many major video camera and VCR manufacturers, non-linear system providers and dealers, through to copyright free music publishers and recordable-media suppliers. Considered as a 'buying event' by regular attendees and exhibitors, there will be many special deals to be found throughout the exhibition.
The IOV was established in 1985, and held their first trade exhibition in 1987. Since then this event has grown in both size and reputation, and is now one of the leading events for videographers in the UK, and it also has a growing number of delegates from Ireland and Europe.
The IOV2001 welcomes non-members, and offers a free convention pre-registration service via their website www.iov.co.uk, saving the £10 entrance fee. The site also includes details on exhibiting companies, timetables, location maps and other important convention news.
