WINCHESTER SECURES WIND DANCER FILM DEAL

WINCHESTER Entertainment, whose Head Office is located in London, have announced that they have entered into an agreement with Hollywood based Wind Dancer Films to co-develop and co-produce a $50 million budget action movie.
In the terms of the deal, Winchester will earn executive producers fees, control worldwide sales rights to the film in perpetuity outside of the US and share in the ownership of the film.
Winchester will source the financing for the film which will be secured by sales to international distributors. This is the second project Winchester Films have entered into with Wind Dancer Films, and the two are already co-developing ‘Harv the Barbarian’, a pre-historic comedy project.
In June 2000 Winchester announced that they had pioneered a ‘split-rights’ deal with MGM to acquire the international rights in perpetuity to ‘Heartbreakers’. Due for release in the US in March 2001, ‘Heartbreakers’ has already been sold by Winchester to five European territories for a minimum guarantee of $18.4 million. Winchester are in negotiations to sell the film to the rest of the world. (CD)
