High Wire introduces Final Cut Pro suite
Dublin-based High Wire has added a Final Cut Pro suite to their already extensive blend of Avid Suites.
For High Wire, Final Cut Pro expands their facilities in two key areas. First, an increase in clients with projects originating on Final Cut Pro means that we can now facilitate finishing the project on the same system it was begun, maintaining all the native effects and elements already applied to sequences.
Second, High Wire has taken its most important step toward a full High Definition solution by investing in an HD audio/video interface for Final Cut Pro. More immediately, as Irish producers are quickly utilising the superior image quality and cost effectiveness of HDV, Final Cut Pro gives High Wire the advantage of being able to edit HDV in its native format, an advantage they are already capitalising on.
Final Cut Pro’s impressive grading and online capability along with the versatile graphics and effects package of Final Cut Studio means High Wire now offers its clients fully professional tools at competitive rates. In addition, with FCP’s film options High Wire now hopes to attract more shorts, features and other film projects.
Brian Truglio, Head of Editing, has been using Final Cut Pro since 1.0 and has watched it develop and mature. He is also a Final Cut Pro trainer and hopes to provide training programmes to other Editors in Ireland who are interested in widened their skill base.
High Wire looks forward to the possibility of new opportunities that Final Cut Pro can add to their existing business. They understand the importance of moving forward with technological advancements that are available and embrace the new system.
