IOV announce dates for 2003 Convention

The Institute of Videography’s Annual Convention and Trade Exhibition showcasing all the latest technology and services in digital video production will take place at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on 24th & 25th April 2003.
Situated opposite the NEC in Birmingham, IOV2003 will include a full schedule of seminars and workshops; aimed to address the wide-ranging needs of today's video production community - from web streaming video to DVD delivery, through to panel discussions on all key business topics.
As in previous years, the event also includes the IOV Awards ceremony, this time taking place in the prestigious Britannia Suite at the Motorcycle Museum on the evening of 24th.
The awards are sponsored by Sony Broadcast & Professional, JVC Professional, Camerasure Alliance, Canopus, Penridge Tele-Video and Samron Technologies – are open to all IOV members. The categories include Best Corporate Video, Best Documentary, Best Wedding Video, Best Showreel and Best Videography.
The trade exhibition is now spread throughout the museum's four main exhibition halls, and will include all major video camera and VCR manufacturers, non-linear system providers and general dealers - through to copyright free music publishers and recordable-media suppliers. Considered as a 'buying event' by regular attendees and exhibitors, there will be many special deals to be found throughout the exhibition.
Among the many unique features and exhibits, the event will once again host the IOV’s assessment clinic, where members and non-members can have a mock IOV assessment – to see how their work would be graded within the IOV.
The IOV welcomes non-members, and offers a free convention pre-registration service via their website (www.iov.co.uk) - saving the £10 entrance fee.
