Aura hold AGM and announce new appointments

Following their recent AGM, the performers organisation AURA have announced that Stephen King has been appointed as chairman, taking over from Peter Jenner, who held the position for three years.
Jenner, who held the position of chairman for three years, said: "I will continue on as a director of AURA and will continue on my fight for performers' rights."
At the meeting, Dave Rowntree, of Blur, was elected Vice-Chairman, while Robbie Williams, Peter Horrey, John Glover, Tony Hadley and Nigel Parker were elected onto the board of AURA.
AURA’s general secretary Peter Horrey reported that AURA had increased their turnover by over 750%.
