Edifis launch Scratchbox enhancement

A major new announcement from Edifis, Lucifer is a powerful and affordable automatic image enhancement option for Scratchbox.
Scratchbox provides an efficient and easy-to-use toolset for repairing damaged film and. The defect is first located manually and then repaired using an electronic stylus and graphic tablet.
A user-friendly interface allows the operator's skill to be applied to enhancement tasks that were formerly uneconomic.
Lucifer enhances these manual tools by adding automated processes which can be applied to scenes before, during or after manual Scratchbox operations. This balance of manual and machine-based restoration combines the strengths of subjective and objective processing at a price-point previously unknown in the restoration arena.
Storage is an inherent part of the Scratchbox/Lucifer combination, introducing a completely different financial model compared with traditional noise reducers which require external VTRs to source and capture the results.
Scratchbox and Lucifer are compatible with all standard-definition VTRs, colour correctors and telecines.
