PYSER-SGI ANNOUNCE NEW BALCAR SYSTEMS

PYSER-SGI have announced the introduction of new higher efficiency lighting systems from Balcar.
With a more compact design, the units feature a new type of 55 W lamp that can increase efficiency by up to 50 per cent, saving on power and running costs and also allowing larger areas to be lit from further away. Heat generation is kept to the minimum and lamp life is greatly extended, in addition to a full range of dimming control options the system includes phase and DMX.
The new range of increased efficiency, full featured fluorescent lighting fixtures from Balcar includes the Octalite, Fluxlite, Quadlite and Doulite, as well as the Duostrip and Quadstrip.
Employing from eight lamps on the Octalite to two on the Duolite, the units provide light outputs from 22,000 Candelas to 5,500 Candelas with power consumptions of 500w down to 125w respectively.
The 120 x 17cm slimline Duostrip and Quadstrip are ideal for soft lighting a low ceiling studio (under 3m). When placed in rows they can be used for low height chromakey or cyclorama backdrops, and also have applications in web television and conference room lighting. Employing four of the new 55w lamps, the quadstrip provides 9,000 Candelas, whilst the Duostrip provides 5,500 Candelas using just two lamps. (GB)
