Grass Valley Venom FlashPak solid-state system wins four industry awards

Following its formal introduction at the recent National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention, the Grass Valley Venom FlashPak solid-state recording system from Thomson has been recognised with a total of four awards from some of the broadcast and film production industry’s most respected trade journals and online publications.
Among the awards for the Venom FlashPak were the highly coveted “Premiere Product Award” from Digital Cinematography magazine in recognition of outstanding achievement in the advancement of the art and science of video technology.
TVB Europe bestowed its “NAB2005 Pick of Pick Awards”, in recognition of outstanding achievement in the advancement of the art and science of television broadcast technology.
Digital Cinema Report, an online newsletter covering widescreen production and presentation, included the Venom FlashPak as one of its “Top 10 Products of NAB 2005”.
Millimeter magazine cited the Venom FlashPak as one of its “NAB 2005 Pick Hits”, calling it a technologically innovative product that promises to have a positive impact on the day-to-day working lives of production professionals.
