AJA's Io chosen for 'Naked Cannes' series

AJA Video has announced that three Io's are being used by Prime Cut Productions for editing 'Naked Cannes', a five-part series featuring hosts Sarah Lelouch and Thierry Colby delivering daily chronicles of the 58th Cannes Film Festival, as well as exclusive talent interviews with celebrities for E! Entertainment Television, the channel dedicated to the world of Hollywood celebrities.

Editorial of Naked Cannes is taking place in the Palais des Festivals by Prime Cut Productions, using five Apple Power Macintosh G5 computers with Final Cut Studio and OSX 10.4 Tiger. Four camera crews using Sony HDV and Betacam SP cameras are capturing the event.
Footage is captured and edited using the AJA Io's, on an Apple Xserve RAID SAN (storage area network). Rough cuts of the final shows are being sent to editors at E! Entertainment in Los Angeles via the Internet. Editors in LA also have face-to-face communication with their Cannes counterparts via Apple's iChat AV software.

The series will air from June 6-10 in over ten countries.
