Sat-Comm win Queen's Award for Enterprise

British based satellite communications company Sat-Comm has been awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise (International Trade Category) in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the UK's manufacturing industry export achievements over the past five years.
Sat-Comm manufactures portable and vehicle-based Satellite Newsgathering (SNG) systems for the broadcast, government communications and defence markets, and the stature of the award is viewed as particularly significant for the young company.
With a customer-base spanning the World, Sat-Comm has established itself as one of the premier suppliers to the global SNG market. From inception, Sat-Comm's achievement has been founded on our ability to respond promptly to customer enquiries, delivering successful solutions on budget, and providing comprehensive after sales support.
Tim Williams, Managing Director, commented: "I'm so proud that our whole team has been recognised with this prestigious award. Our achievements over the last five years have been nothing short of incredible. We are now seen as a leader in the SNG field so Sat-Comm clearly delivers what customers want. We've got an exciting year ahead of us, delivering our biggest projects to date, as well as launching major new product developments at IBC in Amsterdam in September."
Sat-Comm attribute the key to their success to the ability to service all aspects of their SNG vehicle projects in-house. Encompassing a range of skills from antenna design to vehicle coachbuilding and technical system integration, Sat-Comm claim that this capability allows "a high level of control over design, quality and build times".
In the near future Sat-Comm's healthy order book and expanding workforce will see a move to larger premises.
