PACE APPOINT NEW OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

PACE Micro Technology have appointed Nigel Stacey as the company’s new Operations Director.
Stacey, who will be responsible for Pace’s worldwide purchasing, distribution and manufacturing operations, joins Pace from Telewest Communications where he was Director of Group Purchasing and Logistics. He will join Pace on May 21 2001.
Stacey has a wealth of ‘global knowledge’ in supply chain management and manufacturing for international technology and communications businesses, which will be key as Pace expands their international operations. In addition to Telewest, his career includes time at Xyratex (formerly part of IBM), where he led major global purchasing, logistics and manufacturing projects from bases in the United States and the Far East.
Malcolm Miller; Pace’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “Digital television at Pace is a global business, from our international client base to how we develop, procure and manufacture our home gateway technology. Stacey’s experience is a perfect match for Pace – he will be able to continue and develop the complex operational processes that bring Pace products to market as we drive our international growth.” (CD)
