Major Turkish station choose Leitch dpsVelocityQ

Leitch Technology Corporation have announced the sale of three dpsVelocityQ editing systems to Show TV in Turkey, to be used to help create the network's new look.
Show TV broadcasts local, high-quality dramas, music, news and sports programmes 18 hours a day, not only nationwide but also through Russia, Cyprus, Arabic countries, Egypt and North America.
To update their identity, Show TV are using dpsVelocityQ to produce new promos with newly created graphics. The moving graphics, all of which have motion alpha channels, will be overlaid across two channels of video in real-time with dpsVelocityQ. The creation of these new graphics and promos requires extensive video processing power and would have taken hours of processing on comparable systems.
Murat Kucuksarac, Technical Manager of the Show TV, said: “The main reasons we preferred the system are its real-time capabilities and the quality of the video it processes. Another key factor was the uncompressed function for all the real-time layers.”
The systems were sold to Show TV through Leitch’s Turkish post production reseller, Computorium.
