ARETE RELEASE NEW DIGITAL NATURETOOLS
ARETÉ Entertainment (AEI) have announced the release of Digital NatureTools v3.5 for SOFTIMAGE|3D Extreme.
Areté's complete solution for photo-real animating wave surfaces features Areté's proprietary wave simulation and rendering technology to allow users to create photo-real, full-motion wave surfaces completely within Softimage. It also provides animating wave disturbances such as circular ripples, swell waves, linear boat wakes and new curvilinear boat wakes that allow the user to attach a wake to any non-linear path.
Areté Entertainment, established in 1996, specialise in providing 3D computer graphics software to the entertainment/visual FX industry. AEI’s simulation and rendering products are available across a broad range of graphics platforms including Maya, Softimage 3D|Extreme, Lightwave, 3D Studio Max, Electric Image, After Effects and Combustion. AEI’s software products have won numerous industry awards and have been used to generate digital imagery for many feature films such as Castaway, Titanic, Deep Blue Sea, Truman Show and the soon to be released Pearl Harbor.
