Smart AV names Japanese distributor

Smart AV has appointed DSP Japan Ltd, a specialist distributor of pro audio equipment to the postproduction, music, broadcast, and film industries, as a distributor for the company’s new Elite Series Smart Console product line.
The Elite Series Smart Console, available in 96-, 72- and 48-channel configurations, uses patented ARC Technology to deliver revolutionary improvements in mixing efficiencies and makes recording and mixing faster, less stressful and more creative, while dramatically reducing the footprint for large-channel applications.
DSP Japan's Satoshi Yanase said: "We are really excited to be working with Smart AV and have already received very strong expressions of interest in the Smart Console from Japanese attendees at AES in San Francisco. Japanese studios have been quite cautious about assignable control surfaces but we believe the intuitive way the Smart Console works is going to change that."

The Smart Console will be making its Japanese debut from November 17-19 on DSP Japan’s booth (# 3310 in Hall 3) at Inter BEE 2004, Makuhari Messe.
