SHOWCASE AT THE VANCOUVER FILM FESTIVAL
INDEPENDENT film and content producers looking to work with the Canadian market will have the opportunity to promote their work at a co-production event staged by The British Council at the Vancouver Film Festival from September 25 to the 27.
The British Council are running the seminar alongside the festival in conjunction with the Support for Seminars and Exhibitions Abroad (SESA) programme. The scheme enables participants to claim back 60 per cent of travel and accommodation costs.
Senior figures from the film industry in Canada and Canadian distributors will be invited to special presentations of the films and TV programmes. These will be supported by a series of discussion events and receptions to allow the UK participants to network widely with the Canadian contacts.
