MATROX GRAPHICS PARTNERSHIP WITH DIGIMASK

MATROX GRAPHICS have announced their partnership with Digimask, the developers of digital 3D clone creation technology, to bring high-definition, photo-realistic heads to a new genre of communication applications.
Exclusively optimised for the Matrox G550’s new HeadCasting engine, the Digimask system lets users create a 3D version of their own head. In conjunction with HeadCasting applications, the3D head is rendered in high definition by the HeadCasting Engine, which enables the most photo-realistic experience while also minimising CPU utilisation.
The Matrox and Digimask technologies support HeadCasting applications for both entertainment and work, offering the most versatile 3D application package to end-users.
The Digimask system is bundled with the Matrox Millennium G550, the first graphics card to support Matrox’s HeadCasting technology. Creating the life-like, high-definition images is a simple process.
All users have to do is send two photos of their head to Digimask – one from front on and one a side profile. Digimask then creates a photo-realistic 3D image and e-mails it back to the user. The resulting Digimask heads can be easily incorporated into the other bundled HeadCasting applications such as Matrox Virtual Presenter for PowerPoint®1 and LIPSinc’s HeadFone.
The advanced Digimask system and the unique HeadCasting capabilities of the Millennium G550 work together to make this new Matrox graphics card the only solution to fully accelerate high definition, photo-realistic talking 3D heads in hardware. (CD)
