Modulus Video expands operation in Europe, the Middle East and Africa

Modulus Video has responded to "vigorous global interest" in its broadcast quality MPEG-4 AVC video compression systems for high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) television, by expanding its operations into Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Mike Bennett, a broadcast, satellite, cable and broadband distribution industry veteran and a well-recognized leader in international broadcasting and engineering organizations has been called upon to establish the company's operations and develop sales channels from offices in the UK.
"Modulus has had a tremendous response to its SD and HD AVC solutions since demonstrations began earlier this year," said Modulus Video CEO Bob Wilson. "Growing demand for digital services and HD programming has broadcasters and telecommunications companies searching for solutions that enable them to capitalize on that opportunity. AVC is proving to be extremely attractive. We are fortunate to have Mike Bennett's experience and market knowledge to help us meet that demand by establishing our presence in these critical markets."
Recently Mike Bennett was the regional sales manager for EMEA at Path1 Network Technologies. Prior to that he held roles as Regional Sales Director for EMEA at Scientific Atlanta, General Manager for Panasonic Broadcast Europe, as well as sales and operations positions with Snell & Wilcox and Sony Broadcast.
Mike also brings significant industry oversight experience including current roles as a Director of the International Broadcasting Convention and Director of the British Section of the Audio Engineering Society.
"MPEG-4 AVC is a logical choice for expanding broadcast services and Modulus Video has a clear lead in the development of these solutions," said Bennett. "Broadcasters and telecommunications companies want to purchase new technology knowing that it has been designed, manufactured and will be supported from a company with vast experience in their industry."
Modulus Video AVC solutions will be on show at the upcoming IBC exhibition on Stand 3.218.
