EVS Introduces Zoom

EVS is introducing Zoom, a new feature that extends the capabilities of its renowned LSM-VIA® replay and highlights system.
Set to be showcased at NAB Show 2025 in Las Vegas, Zoom has been designed to enhance game analysis and storytelling in premium live sports productions.
The feature is integrated into the LiveCeption® solution family and controlled directly from the LSM-VIA for an intuitive, user-friendly experience. Replay operators can zoom into a camera feed using simple touch gestures on a touchscreen interface, capturing every crucial detail of an action effortlessly and with precision.
To further streamline live production workflows, operators also have the option to define pre-set regions of interest, enabling instant zoom-ins on key areas of the action with just a single tap. Additionally, keyframes can be added within a zoom sequence, keeping the focus locked on shifting focal points and ensuring critical moments remain in clear view.
Designed for real-time operation, Zoom maintains high-image quality by cropping a 4K input to deliver a sharp 1080p output, seamlessly integrating into any replay sequence. It is fully compatible with UHD cameras, including super motion cameras with up to 4 phases. It also supports both SDI and ST-2110 video standards, making it adaptable to various production environments. Clips can be stored with keyframes as metadata, allowing for effortless reuse and adjustments in future edits, or easily exported to external systems.
"After a series of successful tests with customers during real live productions, we’re excited to showcase the new Zoom feature at NAB Show," said Ignacio Revuelto, Product Marketing Manager LiveCeption at EVS. "Operators have expressed their enthusiasm, highlighting how flawlessly it works, how incredibly easy it is to use, and how impressed they are with the speed and reactivity of the touch controls. With Zoom, we’ve developed a feature that truly takes live replays to the next level."
