Martin Poultney joins Ascent Media from Technicolor

Ascent Media has announced that Martin Poultney is joining the company from Technicolor to help setup a new restoration, archiving and mastering team.
Hw will work alongside Ray King, Supervising Colourist for the Group, John Sears, Production Director for Soho Images and Mark Bonnici, from Media Management Services.
The experience and knowledge of this new team reflects a unique partnership of talent, unrivalled in the UK market for film and television restoration, archiving and mastering in HD and Data.
Martin Poultney started his career at Rank Film Distributors, before moving to TVI as Head of Bookings. When the company merged to become 4MC, Poultney became the film projects specialist, before joining Technicolor in 2001 as Booking and Projects Manager.

Ray King has over 30 years experience working as a colourist with film and has recently been appointed to Supervising Colourist for the Group in conjunction with setting up the new team with Poultney. King has worked at Ascent Media companies: Todd-AO Creative Services; St. Anne’s and Soho Images already and has an in depth knowledge of the Group and its technology. “I am passionate about what I do and can’t wait to get going with this new initiative,” said King.
