Fantek Achieves Certification Of EN-1090 And ISO 3834 Standards

Fantek has become the first Spanish manufacturer of lifters, truss and staging products for the audiovisual industry to achieve EN-1090 and ISO 3834 standards certification from the prestigious TÜV Rheinland.
This follows a strict assessment process, resulting in approval to meet the quality requirements for manufacturing structural steel components.
The internationally recognised certification guarantees that all products designed, manufactured and distributed by the Valencia-based company including truss, towers, stage decks, screen supports, rigging and structural products comply with the demanding EN-1090 and ISO 3834-2 European standards. These are designed to ensure that all production processes meet the highest standards in quality, safety and traceability.
The EN-1090 standard sets the execution requirements for steel and aluminium structures, guaranteeing that every component undergoes rigorous quality control, from material selection to welding and final assembly. Alongside this, ISO 3834-2 defines the specific quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials – a critical process in the production of truss systems and load-bearing structures used across the AV, events, entertainment and construction industries.
This dual certification is not just a mark of quality — it is essential for manufacturing under the CE marking framework, ensuring full compliance with the latest European regulations: EN 17206 (general safety requirements for lifting equipment used in the entertainment industry), EN 17115 (requirements for support structures) and EN 17117 (requirements for stage platforms). It establishes Fantek as the only Spanish manufacturer authorised to produce these products in strict compliance with current European standards, guaranteeing its clients access to fully certified equipment ready for use in international projects that demand strict adherence to CE regulations.
"We are very proud to achieve the certification from TÜV, but it's not just about prestige; it's a real commitment to ensuring that Fantek products comply with all legal and technical requirements currently in force across the European Union," said Fantek CEO Juan José Vila. "This will translate into certified truss, towers, stage decks, screen supports and accessories ready for international projects. It means enhanced safety during installations and rigging, maximum traceability and full documentation for every component and commitment to continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence."
Headquartered in Valencia, Fantek is dedicated to innovation, local manufacturing and production and strict compliance with the most demanding international standards. With this certification, the company sets a new benchmark for metal structure manufacturing for the entertainment and AV industries.
