FAST TO LAUNCH SEVERAL NEW PRODUCTS AT IBC

This year's IBC sees several new innovative products from the R&D labs of FAST Multimedia, but by far the most exciting is the launch of the much-vaunted blue native digital editing system, representing the flagship of FAST's existing colour range of products - purple, silver and ivory.
FAST and selected partners will also be showing interoperability within network environments through FASTwire technology, as well highlighting mobile solutions with FASTtransmit, their unique satellite /ISDN store and forward technology.
In addition to the original specification, FAST have also included incredibly powerful primary and secondary colour correction tools. This functionality alone is typically found in products more than three times the cost of the blue workstation, which is expected to ship at 50,000 euros excluding storage.
Steve Wise, General Manager at FAST, said: "We are naturally very excited to finally bring the blue project to market. And it says much about FAST's innovation and forward thinking that the concept of native digital editing remains as fresh and above all relevant today as it did when we first announced the concept four years ago. Already we have a huge amount of interest".
As well as on the FAST booth, FAST editing solutions can also be seen in partnership with other well-known industry players, including Sony, Panasonic, JVC, EMC2, SGI, Omneon and Sagitta. (CD)
