AEQ XPEAK Intercom System Deployed In CCK Symphonic Hall

The CCK, an emblematic building of the City of Buenos Aires, former Post and Telegraph Palace, has more than 100,000 square metres of floor space and an infrastructure on a par with the most important cultural centres in the world.

Inside it has the National Auditorium, the Sala Argentina, the Great Lamp and the Dome, which together combine the high heritage value of the existing building with the most modern technology.

In 2010 the CCK was inaugurated in the historic building of the Correo Argentino. It has a 3500 pipe organ. Viditec participates in the tender for video recording and distribution engineering.

Until 2022, all audiovisual engineering services were rented. But from this year, it was decided to invest in local audiovisual infrastructure: Sony cameras, video switcher and Xpeak intercom system. The Xpeak is provided for the operation of the Symphonic Hall and the smaller Chamber Hall.

The technical department decided to implement an intercom system for the registry. It consists of desktop equipment, wireless belptacks and wired belptacks. The wired ones go to the cameras and the wireless ones go to the staff moving around the rooms.

AEQ XPEAK is an intercom system that incorporates virtual network technology, through a wizard for automatic global interconnection, which avoids the difficulties of creating the virtual network and configuring the devices to work in it. Thus, different hardware or software user panels are interconnected, as if they all resided in the same physical production centre, whether they are on the same LAN or are scattered in different locations with Internet access. No static IP or dynamic DNS is required, and no port forwarding needs to be set up, because each user panel is automatically configured according to the local network at its location. It works out of the box in all network environments, even in very restrictive networks. AEQ XPEAK includes physical rack and desktop panels, as well as wired and wireless fobs.

The use of IP technology throughout the project allows for great versatility in operation.
