CGI To Showcase Latest Media Solutions At IBC 2024
CGI is to showcase its latest media solutions and IT services on Stand 8.B47 at IBC2024, Amsterdam, September 13-16.
These have been designed to address the critical challenges of modern broadcasters and radio stations as TV merges with online and social platforms.
CGI will debut the latest version of dira Dimension, which now includes seamless integration with applications from the Adobe Creative Cloud®, such as Adobe Photoshop®, Adobe Premiere Pro® and Adobe Audition®. This new feature allows users to edit media files externally within Adobe's industry-standard software, providing greater flexibility and efficiency in media production workflows, including AI-driven functionalities for enhanced automation.
CGI will also introduce a fully web-based multi-track audio editor. This cutting-edge tool is equipped with server-based rendering functionalities, allowing users to edit and render audio projects directly from their web browsers. This development is set to revolutionize the way media professionals collaborate and work, providing unprecedented flexibility and ease of use.
CGI will present new AI-driven functionalities within dira. This includes Speech-to-Text capabilities for audio transcription, enabling faster and more accurate content management. Additionally, Text-to-Speech technology will be showcased, allowing for automated announcements and further enhancing the automation capabilities of the dira suite.
OpenMedia newsroom solution
A key innovation in the CGI OpenMedia Newsroom solution is the OpenMedia Intelligent Assistant, which offers AI-driven news production in a secure and fully GDPR-compliant manner. There are also important updates to OpenMedia NewsBoard, ReporterApp, Metrics, and Insights that further improve the OpenMedia newsroom solution.
At IBC2024, CGI will showcase new third-party integrations with OpenMedia, enhancing newsroom solutions with leading cloud production tools like Grass Valley® AMPP®, Vizrt® Viz Flowics, and Chyron® LyricX. These integrations facilitate advanced media asset management and enable broadcasters to produce shows more efficiently for multiple digital platforms. Additionally, OpenMedia now supports improved communication through an extended Microsoft Teams integration for easier data exchange in newsrooms.
Proven IT Services for Broadcasters
CGI, as one of the largest IT and business consulting companies in the world, works insights-driven and outcome-based and can provide the media industry with a full range of end-to-end services including project and change management, digital transitions, AI-based consulting, cybersecurity solutions trusted by financial institutions and the defense sector, testing services, and smart data solutions to help analyze and monetize archives.
"Our successful recent implementations with clients such as MBC Group and Swisscom highlight our capabilities in different segments; delivering an advanced digital platform such as Shahid for MBC Group’s streaming services and conversational AI solutions that enhance customer interactions and support for Swisscom," commented Clemens Daum, Vice President Consulting Services at CGI. "These and many more show that we are ideally situated at the confluence of broadcast and IT. And the ideal partner to help facilitate broadcasters’ digital transformations as the move towards IP-based workflows accelerates."
The company will also be highlighting the benefits of its CGI Unicorn Academy. Established in Germany in 2018, it now works with over 30 startups to develop innovative solutions to meet its clients’ needs enabling enhanced speed to market, accelerated technology integration, improved customer interaction, and advanced solutions for sustainable growth.
