Glensound To Unveil New Products At PLASA London

News Image
Glensound is to unveil several new products that are very relevant to the PLASA attendees.

New to PLASA is the Greater Divine Intelligent Network Audio Monitor. Glensound launched the original Divine in 2019 and this has proven very popular after winning the PLASA Innovation Award in 2021. The Greater Divine is a larger two-way speaker unit which shares many features of the original Divine but incorporates several innovations. This extremely versatile active monitor delivers 30 watts and is designed to be powered via PoE+ or a local DC input, with the audio connected to a Dante network. It features eight customisable Dante input channels, up from four in the original model and includes a local analogue audio input. Unusually, a headphone socket is also provided, and the neat package features an integral carrying handle. Uses include a “shout” speaker for live operations, commercial audio applications, theatres, museums and schools, even as a small PA set-up. All parameters are controlled by the Windows 10/11 Glencontroller app which can control more than one speaker simultaneously. Eight inputs can be selected or mixed and adjusted with DSP control of compression and limiting. Different preset EQs and an LF cut can be set according to the relevant application. The Greater Divine has various options for mounting if free-standing is not practical.

Also making its first appearance at PLASA is the latest eSports audio interface, the GTM Mobile. Designed for live tournament eSports on mobile devices, it features a hardwired connection to the phone for seamless two-way data transmission without relying on Wi-Fi. The GTM Mobile consolidates three separate functions, efficiently managing Game audio, Team talk mix, and twin headphone amplifiers. By streamlining the setup, it eliminates the need for multiple devices and includes Dante network connectivity. Each panel has separate microphones, twin multi-assignable headphone amplifiers, and controls for team talk mixes and game audio. Independent level controls allow for white noise to be fed to players headphone amplifiers between games. Power is provided via Ethernet (PoE) or USB, essential for mobile gaming, with high-speed charging for connected devices. The GTM Mobile retains all standard GTM features, and is fully remote controllable via the Glensound app GlenController.

Another notable introduction is the European Parliamentary Broadcast System. Known for supplying high-reliability solutions for critical large chamber meeting and committee rooms, Glensound has been a trusted partner to national parliaments since 1995. This solution addresses the challenges of audio in large chambers, whilst integrating security and log-in functionalities. It also includes custom hardware panels for each room, along with automation or manual functions, and software control. The system features audio management, voting capabilities, and tools for streamlining parliamentary procedures. The European Parliamentary Broadcast System offers a fully customisable, fully integrated and exceptionally reliable solution, which currently incorporates 20 customisable specialist hardware products, and is far removed from a collection of off-the-shelf technology.

The fourth new introduction is the NSA16 Network Signal Adjuster. This is a simple but very useful product that delivers what it says. It has 16 Dante inputs and 16 Dante outputs with a level control on each channel pair for stereo, or single channels for 8 mono. The final channel can optionally be set as a group mix control of the other 7 channels.

The award-winning DARK DAWN 1616M, a new generation of DARK Dante/AES67 interfaces, features user-requested updates. Its front panel is machined from a single block of aluminum, hiding screwheads and connectors for a sleek look. This multichannel analogue input/output device is designed for studio settings where aesthetics and robustness are key. It offers 16 mic/line inputs with adjustable gain from the front panel or via GlenController/UDP, and front panel metering. Network options include Dante or RAVENNA/AES67.

The AoIP22M, a compact portable unit, resembles the popular AoIP22 but adds switchable line/microphone inputs. It connects to Dante/AES67 networks and uses USB-C for power, accommodating both plug-top supplies and USB power banks. Features include mic/line inputs on XLR or Phoenix connectors, independent 48V phantom power, variable gain controls, and network connectivity via EtherCON Halo connector. Power options include PoE and USB-C.

Marc Wilson, Glensound’s Managing Director commented: "We are delighted to be back at PLASA with an array of new products that demonstrate the versatility of Glensound. They all depend on networked audio as the key technology and show that Glensound provides simple products or extremely complex systems to match individual requirements."

Marc Wilson and the Glensound team will be available throughout PLASA on stand F6. For more information on the product range, visit glensound.co.uk
