ITV UNVEIL AUTUMN LINE-UP

ITV are to bring a diverse drama portfolio, major entertainment events and intriguing factual programming to the screens this Autumn.
Headlining the season in drama is ‘Othello’, Andrew Davies’ contemporary adaptation of Shakespeare’s play about jealousy, betrayal, revenge and murder.
Contrasting drama comes from Russell T. Davies, creator of ‘Queer as Folk’, with ‘Bob and Rose’, a thoroughly modern love story, starring Alan Davies and Lesley Sharp, about a gay man’s relationship with a woman.
David Liddiment, ITV Director of Channels said: “The challenge for ITV1 is to achieve a balance between attracting large audiences and developing new and innovative programmes which keep our schedule fresh and the channel relevant to an ever-changing audience. Autumn on ITV1 sees two stunning performances in dramas based on true stories as Julie Walters heads the cast of ‘My Beautiful Son’ and Patricia Routledge stars in ‘Anybody’s Nightmare’.
ITV1’s comedy line-up this Autumn ranges from comedy drama to sitcom, satire to sketch show.
