The ESRA Signs Agreement With ARRI

The École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle (ESRA) recently signed an agreement with ARRI to modernise its equipment and provide specific knowledge to its teachers through the ARRI Certified Film School program.

ESRA, which celebrates its 51st anniversary this year, is the first film school in France to obtain the prestigious certification, joining the ranks of ARRI Academy accredited schools around the world.

The ARRI Certified Film School accreditation program enables film schools to benefit from ARRI Academy’s teaching resources, which they can then pass on to their students. As part of a “train the trainer” program, teachers identified as future ARRI certified trainers within the school have access to a course designed to deepen their knowledge of ARRI products and related workflows. They also have access to a wide range of training materials developed by the ARRI Academy, enabling them to take advantage of predefined training courses or create their own.

Registered film schools that successfully complete the path to official certification are then authorised to issue ARRI Academy certificates to their students under the name of their own institution.

As part of the ARRI Certified Film School program, and to guarantee the best possible application of the knowledge imparted, ESRA decided to equip itself with multiple ARRI ALEXA 35 cameras.

Max Azoulay, president and founder of ESRA, commented on this important step and the collaborative relationship with ARRI: "The ESRA Group is delighted to sign this partnership with ARRI, especially as our students have been shooting their graduation films on ALEXA Plus and ALEXA Mini for almost ten years in Paris, Nice, Rennes, Brussels, and New York! The acquisition of these five ALEXA 35s will enable us to train our students on this new generation of cameras."
